The Curve Fitness Plan
Is it possible to work out for only 30 minutes a day and
really lose weight?
It depends on what your weight loss goals are. For people
who are not in a rush to lose weight and under the age
of 35, half an hour of regular exercise can represent
enough activity to offset weight loss. Of course, the
weight program must include a reduced caloric intake.
One such fitness company is the topic of significant
controversy, Curves. The goliath company touts a 30 minute
regimen just three times a week. Certain physical trainer
counter the efficacy of a 30 minute regimen only thrice
a week. But here's how the Curve regimen works:
Only women qualify for the fitness program
The workout regimen is comprised of 5 minutes of stretching
and two rounds of circuit training
Female rotate through a sphere of 12 hydraulic- resistance
machines. The work-out equipment is designed to vary the
intensity and training regimens. For example, one machine
provides strength training. Members are prescribed to
alternate between 30 seconds on each machine and half
minute spurt of jogging in place.
Although the hydraulic machinery is verisimilar to traditional
bodybuilding machines, the difference is in the pace of
the exercise. Dissimilar to a regular training session
where weights are added, these machines are utilized with
intensity in mind. In other words, women are supposed
to lift faster to accelerate the resistance.
While women are aware that the Curve fitness plan is based
on one's motivation level, many members love the personal
attention and support. When one considers that Curves
is deemed the leading fitness franchise with an accumulative
membership base of 4 million women and more than 8,000
locations worldwide.
