Hi..Just wonderingif anyone else has this..Woke up with this the other day..Feels like I have scalded my tongue with hot coffee or soup, but I havent... seems to be burning, tingling, more sensitive, etc...Mostly at the tip, almost feels numb, like I cant really taste food as good...Anything spicy, salty, or hard irritates my tongue...What could this be?????
Thanks!

you may have a condition called "geographical tounge".it is an acute allergy on the tounge,it is offen caused by a b2 or zinc vitamin deficiancy or set off by certain acidic foods. my 4yr old son has the same problem, there is no cure but you can get a steriod cream called "Topical lidex gel" to relief the pain and burning..goodluck

47 yr old healthy male. I have had a burning tongue for a year. Started after taking several corses of zithromax. Drives me nuts....... No prblems when sleeping or eating. Ceyenne pepper helps with temporary relief. Anyone have any suggestions? No recent dental work, but have 2 gold crowns from 3-5 yrs ago.
