Hello, I have some bumps under my tongue and just recently went to the dentist for it. He says it's a blocked salivary gland considering it started clear then turned a little white. All he did was look at my tongue and rub it a little so I'm still a bit skeptical. An online dentist said the same thing, blocked salivary gland when I described it to him. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this and can answer a few questions for me.

Is it normal to feel like something is caught in your throat with a blocked salivary gland?

What in the world can I do to try and get rid of this? The online dentist suggested eating things to make my mouth water and to massage where the bumps are so maybe it would flush out on it's own but this has been there for a year so I doubt that will help.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
