I have cankles. I have had them for several years now and I am looking for a way to lose them. I have rather large calf muscles though. I am not an overweight person, but I just have large legs. Is there any kind of exercise or anything that I can do to get rid of these embarrasing cankles.

I have the exact same problem! And it looks really funny on me because my thighs are small. Someone please give me help to get rid of these cankles.

I have the same problem. I've had cankles all my life, though I have been a very active person. I have a tiny upper body, but then my legs are just very big (and the biggest part of my legs, proportionally to the rest of my body, are my calves). I have never heard of any good exercises to reduce cankles. In magazines and stuff, most of the leg exercises are for thighs. I would die and go to heaven if someone could tell me a good calf-reducing exercise. I might even start wearing shorts and skirts and buying pants that actually fit me in the waist!

I have the exact same problem. I did not realize it was a problem until I saw the movie "Shallow Hal". The movie helped me realize that I needed help so I searched the internet, and I was directed here. My cankles are so bad I have to buy knee socks once a month b/c the elastic stretches out in them. I'm thinking of taking viagra b/c my ankles have me so self concious in the moments of intimacy thats its hard for me to focus on the task at hand. Please, if there is anything that anyone knows of to do to get rid of these hideous cankles I would forever be indebted.

If you do calf defining exercises like continuously lifting and dropping your heels it should help define those ankles.
