Put Witch Hazel on a Q-tip and press it to the taste bud for several minutes. If the taste bud is really swollen sometimes it helps a lot to pinch off the taste bud first (it's hurts, but feels a lot better after the witch hazel is used). Keep your mouth clean and avoid sugar - I find it is sugar that causes the swollen taste buds.
