I have a chum who seems to think that by having flat feet seriously hinders his aerobic fitness, making him less able to run for long periods of time and less likely to improve both his general fitness and speed. I personally think that he is talking out of his bottom and believe that by putting in the hard work, even with flat feet, he will be able to improve his fitness to the same level as someone who has more defined arches on their feet. If someone could please shed some light on this matter, I would be very grateful.
