I'm an Industrial Design student researching into Exercise and motivation.
Basically i'm trying to discover why so many people who start an exercise program give up within the first 3-6 months.
Similarly i'm keen to find out what keeps people maintaining their exercise even if they sometimes don't feel like it.
I'm hoping to come up with a product for the average guy or girl that will keep them motivated to exercise.
What do you think would do it?
Some kind of physical indication of progress?
Better education into how exercise benefits them?
Some kind of support structure from others?
Keeping a 'gym diary'
I'd love to hear your stories, any advice or information. it would be extremely helpful
