I am just starting to get into an exercise program with cardio and weight training. What are the best muscle groups to exercise in a day? For instance, is it okay to work out bi's and tri's in the same day? Should I alternate? When should I do legs, back, chest, and shoulders? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I do this. On mondays I do Chest workouts 9 exersises 4 sets. on tuesdays I do arms Biceps and tris. Wed. I do Legs. Thursday I do shoulders. and friday I do Back. I do abs on saturday and take a day off on sunday. Each day I work the muscle to failure and I do 20 min cardio each day. Th way my week breaks down is perfect because it gives your muscles rest between days. For example on chest day the shoulders get worked a little so I give my shoulders time to heal before I hit them again. Best of luck.

i do like the sound of a full 6 day workout programme, but i will say when u are startin out that may b too much, maybe try mondays doin chest and tri's, wednesday doin back and bi's, and friday do shoulders and legs and cv every day. i would say when startin out not to lift weight on more than 2 days in a row!

Hi, Im weight training and doing cardio three times a week. Im worried about looking too bulky. How do I prevent this while still getting in shape. Thanks
