I keep hearing that the best way to burn fat is to run the morning before eating. The reasoning is your body has just gone through an 8 hour fast while sleeping and it will have to dip into your fat supply to get the energy. There are several excerise programs that really endorse this, but on the other hand I have read articles by a few doctors who do not recommend running before eating. They say that your body has not fully 'warmed up' yet and that there is a better chance of one burning muscle than fat. Does anyone here really know the truth

it's good to have some food in your system so the body has some energy feed off. i'm a runner, and usually on morning runs i'll eat a bagel and some fruits before hand(atleast 45min before the run) |

you need to eat SOMETHING before you run (at the very least half an hour beforehand). if you do it on an empty stomach youll end up burning mostly muscle. |
