I don't think it's very healthy to exercise hard in the morning when your metabolism isn't working properly yet. The time of the day when you are the most active is the best, which would normally be from 11 am to 8 pm. This, of course, depends on your personal daily routin (when you wake up and go to sleep, and when you eat). I eat my dinner at 6 pm and do my daily exercises at around 8. Then I take a shower and never have trouble sleeping. I think exercising later in the evening is the best time for me.
