I go to the gym 4 times a week for about 2 hrs each time and do mostly cardio with a little bit of weight work & I have just entered a fitness challenge. The only trouble is I need to use the treadmill to do 1.5km run as the challenge will be on the treadmill but have not run for about 7 years due to a knee injury (which is now OK). My problem is that I have been running three times this week on the treadmill and each time I have had a stitch and always in the same place. I haven't eaten 4hrs prior to training and I had not consumed a large quantity of fluids as I know both these do cause stitches. Is there anyone out there who can possibly give me some advice, I really need to combat this and would appreciate your help. Regards Bev |
