Hi Ty,

I agree with a lot of your points but few. I think lifting heavier weights has more benefits as it burns more calories and builds more muscle, the more muscle mass you have the more fat it will burn. Also, walking is great but I would add more intense aerobic exercise to improve heart function and build the muscles you are so afraid of. What counts is not how much you weigh on the scale but how much fat you have. You can look thin and still have unhealthy amount of fat. I am a woman and I am not afraid to lift heavy weights and I am loosing fat while eating about 2000 calories a day
of helthy food including lots of healthy oils.
I do a lot of very intense aerobics ( elliptical trainer and treadmill on 12-15 incline and I look and feel half my age. Don't be so afraid of intensity and heavy weight, they will prolong your life and will make you loose fat faster.
I lost 30 pounds this way since august, loosing 4 pound a week is unhealthy and a lot of it is water loss in the first weeks, not fat. To loose 4 pounds of fat a week you would have to burn 14000 extra calories a week (2000 a day )and it doesn't sound like you are doing that.
Good luck.
