I have been on a Doctor supervised, LOW carb, LEAN protein diet for the past 2 weeks and I have lost 14lbs. The first few days were tough, as your body adjusts to not being fed refined sugars all day long! After 3 days, I felt amazing, and today I feel even better! I have gained and lost 100lbs then gained 50lbs back. I am SO tired of dieting, and looking at it as a means to an end. It is NOT the end, it's about healthy eating for life. I think where most of us self proclaimed dieters go wrong is thinking that as soon as we reach our happy weight, and we no longer need to diet, we can embark on a food free for all. Newsflash! We can never eat like we did before we lost the weight, or it will ALL come back very quickly. I am confident that this Low Carb lifestyle is the way I need to live, and guess what? Bread really isn't that important to me! I can enjoy meats, fish and chicken with lots of veggies and still feel full.
