To Anonymous' posting Jul 14 - you shouldn't be starving before bed. It's okay to eat a bit later just make sure you wait three hours after eating before going to bed. Also, if you are working out at all it's fine to eat protein before bed as that helps your muscles heal. You should never be "starving" at any point during the day (except for 1st thing in the morning when you wake up) or you are putting yourself at risk of slowing down your metabolism. And to those people who are talking about fat loss - first of all it cannot happen quickly or you put yourself at risk of losing all your muscle mass, going into starvation mode, and/or gaining all the weight back on. The best way to lose weight is to eat balanced meals 5-6 times per day, watching fat and carb intake, and working out. The best way to burn fat by working out is first thing in the morning, with an empty stomach - do about 30 - 40 minutes of low-impact cardio (heart rate moderate to moderately-high). Combine this with weight training 3 times per week - and a normal person should lose about 1 pound per week. |
