I want to put down a little bit about my story, because I've read some of the posts and I haven't seen anything like it. If there are people out there like me, they might feel better that there is someone who seems to contradict what else is being posted here.
First: Eating one child size meal a day for about 2 weeks did help me lose 18lbs (in two weeks!).
Second: I gain muscle mass more easily than I lose weight and on a healthy diet. If I want to get rid of the weight, exercising and healthy diet gets rid of inches but not pounds, and sometimes even increases pounds. If you are one of those people who want to pride yourself on having a low lean weight in general, this just doesn't work.
Third: I pride myself on eating VERY healthily (no added salt/preservatives, vegetarian, the no processed sugar thing), but I have to admit that even after two years of no sugar it still tastes HEAVENLY.
I know everyone has different experiences, and I just wanted to share mine. :-)
