I started out at 115 lbs. at 5'1" which is ok for my height, but all i wanted to do was tone up. So I would walk briskly (4mph) for 1 hour a day, and incorporate some rope jumping in the day for about 10 minutes (great to rid of cellulite), and 3x per week i'd weight-train for about 20 minutes to tone up. I burned roughly around 250 calories per day, not to mention i would try to keep myself busy around the house, cleaning, washing my car and etc. Then for diet i cut 250 calories per day, and i would end up eating anyhere from 1,000-1,200 per day. Slim-fast shake for breakfast and lunch, salad with chicken for dinner, and if i go hungry for a snack midday, i'd reach for a fruit. Desert was jello. I drink lots of water, atleast 64 oz. per day to stay hydrated and to ward off hunger.
Over a period of a month i noticed my clothes were getting loose, i felt more energetic, and found my need to snack decreased. 2 months later i was at 105 lbs. I lost 10 lbs. (about 1.25 lbs per week in the 8 weeks i dieted) Which is slow, but atleast i know it will stay off, no fads, no pills, no starving, no crazy diet tricks. There are no secrets to dieting, really....it's all about eating better in smaller amounts, and exercising at a moderate intensity regularly!!! And if you stick to it and have will-power, i promise you the weight WILL come off!!!
