Sculpting the body is made easy with regular weigh lifting
or body building. In the realm of toning muscles, staving
off age related muscles loss and improving the appearance
of supple skin in the arms, legs, thighs and abdomen,
weight training is the body's best defense. Unlike cardiovascular
activity which requires a regular regimen of 30 minutes,
five-days a week, bodybuilding can be low maintenance.
With the regular practice of bodybuilding, weight training
is a form of strength training that utilizes the body's
strength for resistance. Weight training is beneficial
because it stimulates the muscles by impelling them to
adapt to the stress of lifting weights.
Both free weights and fitness weight machines are the
tools for a better physique. The exercises needed to tone
and shape the body can be executed in as few as twice
a week, for 20 minutes a shot. Try these weight lifting
tips on for a better body:
Build muscle with only one set of repetitions. According
to physiological research, just one set of 12 repetitions
is as effective as three sets of the same weight lifting
exercise. In other words. a weight heavy enough to fatigue
muscles can render the same benefits as 12 reps.
A complete series of bodybuilding exercises can be executed
for the arms, shoulders, abdomen, back chest, and legs
in just 20-30 minutes. Beginners should start the routine
gradually and slowly build up to more weights overtime.
As soon as the tendons, muscles and ligaments are acclimated,
weights can be increased by 10 percent at a time. The
inability to complete the twelfth repetition is a good
way to gauge whether a weight is appropriate for one's
work out. Finally, adequate rest between bodybuilding
or weight lifting sessions will enable the muscles to
recuperate.
